Ajolote Cabeza Chata

Hello!

My name is Cecy and I'm an ajolotita cabeza chata.
Scientifically  known as "Ambystoma amblycephalum"
I like to live in the town of Tacíacuaro on the north side of Michoacán in Mexico.
Compared to the rest of my little sisters, I am brown or gray with cream-colored spots.
We are a neotenic species of relatively small size. When we are adults we can measure from 80 to 87 mm in length.
Our head is large, twice as long as it is wide.
Do you want to know how to preserve my species?
  • Do not promote the illegal business of salamanders.
  • Do not pollute lakes, rivers, lagoons and/or any water source.
  • Use products that are friendly to nature.
